Freedom50 will raise awareness of the impact of global warming amongst the UK’s British Bangladeshi and other communities and highlight the health benefits of cycling.

Health inequalities have disproportionately impacted the Bangladeshi community, and during Covid 19, this was further exacerbated. Last year’s national bike ride encouraged more Bangladeshi people to use their bikes for exercise and commuting.

We aim to build on this momentum and encourage more people to make small changes that make an impact on climate change.

Freedom50 will raise funds to continue our work in Bangladesh, building a school in Jamalpur, where severe flooding regularly displaces people.

The school in Bangladesh will be built in partnership with Sircer Pasha Welfare Trust.

Part of the funds will also be used by Human Appeal to support their Dhaka Street Children Project.

We always welcome the opportunity for private donations and organisations to sponsor and support our charity bike ride.
